Driver Side Wing Mirror replacement problem...

Featured Replies

Hi all, once again I am here with a problem, I was hoping that a mirror change would be simple, but nooooooooooo. After some numpty took out my wing mirror I had a look round scrappys and ebay to find a new one. I won one on ebay that was new and it was listed for my car, so i was a happy chappy.

I got my manual out, had a read, did as it said about taking door panel off and what not, took off the old mirror, fitted the new one, plugged in the cable and WHAM...It dont fit, the connectors are both same...hmmmmm.

So i takes a look and the new mirror connector has 9 wires on it where as the one coming from the door switch had 5. I been reading and looking round with no luck at all. I have had the new mirror apart to try to find out where the wires go and no luck.

COULD SOMEONE PLEASE HELP. I posted a couple of pics to show you what I am on about, and yeah I cut off the connector on the new mirror (oh nooooo)
