Scout Options

Featured Replies

Hi there - have been reading this forum and look svery helpful - I am thinking of buying a Roomster, looking at Scout over SE which seems to be favoured.

Also looking at the additional options available to the Scout asnd wonder if there are any you would recommend as "essential".

Particularly, is the sat-nav option a good one on these models or would i be better off sticking my tom-tom on the dash?

I really would appreciate any advice here. thanks!!!!

Tom Tom on the dash for me. Easier to replace or upgrade if the things starts answering back...

I collected my Scout last weekend. I considered the spare wheel essential (goo can is standard) and I also specified the third (centre) rear head restraint.

With hindsight, I would have specified an "option" I DIDN'T want - dealer stickers! In addition to the logos on the number plates, my Roomy came with six dealer stickers and add-ons - some of which were stuck on with elephant glue.

Another vote for the Tom-Tom on the dash although I would get yourself a Brodit cradle and mount for the Roomster as the dash is quite deep and I found it difficult to reach a screen mounted sat nav. :thumbdwn:

I would also recommend the 17" Scout alloys as they look the nuts

As others have said a Full size spare, although being an MY08 mine came with one.

and heated seats for the winter :P

Depends.

I like cruise control and rear electric windows (Which you can lock) are good if you are carrying kids
