Hi all,

Just registered as last weekend I ordered an Octavia vRS TDI 170 estate - in anthracite. This colour wasn't offered in the brochure but was on the website. The dealer (Autoplaza Basingstoke) seemed to think I could have it but I've found by browsing this forum I notice there seems to be some confusion as to whether this colour is _really_ available on the non-LE model.

So..... is anyone here waiting for an anthracite one, or better still, actually taken delivery of it? (if so wouldn't mind seeing a pic or two - the dealer only had a Superb in that colour when I was there).

Anyway whatever colour vRS I end up with it will still be shedloads better than my TDCi Mondeo

By the way I was quoted 8 weeks delivery - seems a bit optimistic judging by how long some of you have been told it will take.

Bob worth reading this thread above, nice choice of colour BTW. I had a guy in an Anthracite VRS turn his head when my car went past today. You don't see many of them about.

I have a pre-FL \Jan 09 reg Anthracite vRS. It is not an LE either. Special block order by Skoda UK themselves of a small number of them. Apparently the unmarked Police vRSs have been spotted by the neds, so some Polcie forces wanted a colour that wasn't recognised as a vRS. Hence the Skoda UK order. I was liucky to be able to get one from that batch.

I Have one on order in anthracite, getting built in week 45. will post pics when i get her.

Did you have to argue to get that colour? I spoke to my dealership this morning who confirmed that Anthracite is NOT offered on the FL vRS, but are going to speak to Skoda and see if they can "swing it in my favour" - I should hear in the next day or two.

Also I just noticed that the "build your own" feature on the Skoda website is "currently unavailable". Maybe they're editing it to remove the vRS Anthracite option

Just come off the phone to the dealership. Apparently Anthracite is imminently about to be offered on the FL vRS within the next few days. I'm guessing maybe they held back until all 500 of the LE's were sold so that they were a bit more "limited edition".

The vRS brochure on the main Skoda site (.com not .co.uk) shows Anthracite as one of the colours available on the FL vRS.

I think it was simply that UK chose not to make this available in UK. Interesting also that the folding mirrors is available from factory but not a UK option on vRS.

Yes anthracite was available on the UK website before they took it down! The whole what-you-can and can't have across the Octavia range is somewhat confusing. Not impressed so far. Hope the car actually lives up to the hype.

i would have gone for this colour if i had seen it before i ordered mine, the brochure colours dont do it justice

Hi Mate I have been told mid November and I can't wait, I am a little disappointed by the dealer as they told me that full leather heated seats can be ordered but when I ordered mine the sales department said I had to go for one or the other and have now said the order is to late to amend:mad: however they have come good with other things which have more than covered the cost of the full leather so I am happy in that respect:)

Mid November? When did you oredr, do you know your build week?

Ordered mine (in anthracite too) 1st Sep and have been told biuid week 45 and to expect delivery END of Nov. Fed up of waiting now!

I just had a call from my dealership - as of today Anthracite is officially available as a FL vRS colour! Hurrah!

He reckons being a new colour option they will be keen to build a load of stock ones and get them out so I may not have to wait too long.... we'll see as I should get my build date next week.

Will do.... now it's ordered I'm going to get very impatient very quickly! :(

He did tell me no problem getting it before Christmas though, and that they're constantly bringing build dates forward now. Hope he's right!
