It really depends on what you want it for, and expect to get out of it. For widgets and things then its the iPhone, for camera and video then it has to be the Sony.

The iphone used to be the phone to have, but its now losing out big time to the competition, its the reason why Apple have now made the decision to get the iphone on all uk networks in the near future to eak some more sales out of a collapsing market.

Never really understood the iphone myself. Ok, its slick to use and feels and looks good but as a smartphone it fails in my eyes. Its not very smart if it can only do one thing at once....every time you load an app it will need to update.... the newer smartphones let the app run in the background and auto update so when you swap apps the latest info is there straight away.

Id disagree. The iphone is still selling as fast as they can make it.

Sure other phones are now getting close to being as good, but losing out bigtime?

To be honest, the biggest problem of the iPhone is the price. The UK is a lot more savvy in that respect, and thats why its going multi-network, so the telco's can fight it out on price, and Apple can still just keep bathing in the cash.

Im watching the phone market with interest, as i have no doubt someone is going to come out with a real iPhone killer in the near future, but i dont think its there yet.

I love the iphone to use for everything apart from actually making phone calls - feels a bit cumbersome to hold against my head. I'd rather have an ipod touch and a seperate phone. Its also too expensive!
