Daihatsu Sirion vs new Mini

Featured Replies

I saw a Daihatsu Sirion today for the first time, probably not a very exciting car, but I couldn't help thinking it looked a damn sight more like the "old" mini than the new one does ! Could be quite a laugh doing some styling mods to one of these ! ;)

Was it one of the Rally2/4 versions (Alloy wheels, lowered, quite sporty looking)? I was almost tempted to buy one before i got my Furby VRS, they are supposed to be quite nippy, but its still a Daihatsu at the end of the day.

Yes and your vRS is still a Skoda at the end of the day! If it is a good car why worry about the badge?

One of the dealers that we went to for independant servicing was a Diahatsu Franchise too. These cars aren't too bad, Sirion does look very Mini, hence it's inclusion in a lot of games that don't want to pay the mini prices for rights! I liked the Rally 2 too, it's handling is meant to be a little rough but the 1.3 fair goes and I think it does 0-60 in 8.5 ish secs. Diahatsu are 50% Toyota, so their cars will be generally reliable and increasing in quality. Quite impressive motors.
