Parrot???

Featured Replies

Be gentle guys, this is my first posting!!

Has anyone self fitted a parrot blue tooth kit to a Fabia?? Thinking of sticking one in my vRS.

Also, has anyone fitted a double din head unit. Was possibly looking for one from an Octavia, or similar that would drive the autochanger :1:

Yes ive got one in mine. Fairly easy to fit parrot kits

Nice one. Any hints or tips?? I've managed to acquire a nearly new MKi9200 kit from a work colleague, and will most prob attempt to fit on the weekend.....

Erm fairly straight forward. Take the plastic trim off under the steering wheel and feed the mic wire that way

I have just fittted (a S/H) CK3200 LS Colour to my Superb, despite the Parrot website stating that no additional loom was required from std (which to a point is correct as all the plugs are right) the power leads going to the radio were the wrong way round (due to VAG being different to just about EVERY other marque).

So BEFORE you fit it physically look at the loom ( i found it helped to plug it all in to the OE loom but not the radio) and make sure that non of the wires have swapped positions, IIRC it was something like wire 1 had moved to position 5, so they needed swapping round and then everything worked fine.

BTW the mute wire when connected killed my cruise control when the Parrot was in use, so i left all 3 mute wires disconnected, the radio still mutes and the cruise control works perfectly.

I fed my mic up through the fuse box and then up the A pillar by removing the rubber trim on the door after feeding under the steering wheel as somone else has already said

I do these on a daily basis (my job!) and the fabia is one of the easiest to do. Plug and play other than swopping the red & orange wire over (you can do this at the fuse holder!)

Octavia's and Superb's sometimes need a switched live off the fuse box depending on the stereo fitted at the factory!

As for the mute wire - plug the yellow mute wire from the box into "MUTE2" - but like mentioned above, check everything works! :)
