Here's mine, a few quick pics

Featured Replies

Greetings brothers (and sisters)

Here's my Superb as it is today sitting on the car park, a couple of subtle tweaks have been made to "smooth" out the power delivery, change the interior bulbs to LED's and fit my Talex.

It needs to drop a little more when I can afford it, not just springs though as I want to keep some compliance in the ride so will look at a full setup. Also need to look into ARB's to just tame some of the body roll.

It's a different beast to the vRoomster and vRS before it, but I like it, a big comfy luxo barge, and it has relaxed my driving style.

It's a 57 plate L&K 2.5 V6 TDi, not VAG's greatest motor by some accounts but I love the V6 noise and the effortless drive.

In terms of changes, what did you end up doing Parrot-wise?

I kept the fitted CK3100 in the car mate, it's mounted really neatly on a custom bracket in the instrument binnacle, but in a way that does not interfere with your view of the clocks etc.

It works perfectly, I stripped out the footwell to see how it was mounted and wired, it's a proper job with vag connectors so there's no need to change it.

Piephone musical excellence will return with the addition of a Dension gateway once I get some spare cash Steve.

I love the look of the Big Rimmed superbs here ala Mr Baker, but I have 4 virtually new tyres and the 17's on it are not as pretty as solids, but not to offensive. I may just look for some solids and then swap my tyres over. Needs to be a pinch lower, it's not getting slammed, 30mm on FSD/Eibachs for much moolah or 35mm on Weitec's for more reasonable moolah. Not sure on the Weitec quality though and do have experience with FSD's / Eibachs.

I like those wheels - don't think I've seen them before.

So what's the superb replaced then?

I've obviously missed things again.

It replaced the vRoomster. I need an Auto because of my knackered shoulder and given the mileage I do. This was priced in my range and only had 9K on the clock in August when I got it (15K now).

I was just getting to much grief after long drives, from the manual box and through the very narrow seats on the vRoomster. In the end, I had a test drive, was offered an excellent deal and said yes, it's still got 18 months or so factory warranty and I got warranty top up from the stealer giving me 2 years.

Lookin' pretty tidy there fluff, especially in silver I like it. The blackened indicators set the colour off well.

A few colours work with the Superb, Baker's looks good in champagne for instance, mind you I like my colour (click my sig if you want a butchers). Just don't like them in white, they tend to look like massive motorised iPods. :D

Nice motor man.

Those are the L&K badges mate, on the Facelift's / end of line jobbies they have LED side repeaters in the mirrors like the Mk2 Octy :D

they are only stuck on so may be whipped off for a smoother look

Very tidy :D

Car looks SUPERB!! Do like the L&K. One word of warning though about taking the badges off the side wings. I have the same door mirror indicators as you, but there is a hole in the wing with a small silver badge with the word Superb on it, so if you take them off, you may need the same little silver side repeater sized badges for the holes.

Looks well Tony, and hope the shoulder has a better time in this car :)

Better still go for a nice set of ...

Nice choice in the end then Fluff, looking good and those wheels look pretty good on it, not sure about the wipers though? Surely they are aftermarket?

On your commen about Weitecs, I have only heard good things and they are owned by KW so they must be good........

They are aftermarket XOPC silicone aero wipers bought from brisky, not the prettiest, but the most effective wipers I have ever used. I have got 5K on them already, no judder, perfect clearing and they don't stick :)

Briskoda Freedom XOPC Shop

I needed to change the wipers, read about the aero's being poo on the superb so bought these.

Looks nice Tony. Where's the interior pics? What colour is the leather? Is it full leather or with alcantara centres? Has it got wood effect trim etc? Heated rear seats? Nav built in?

L&K must be fully loaded - the Elegances aren't exactly shy of spec!

Looks good Fluff-T, Great for cruzin da hood :D

Even better in the flesh

Fair enough mate, I have the OEM Aero Wipers and have never had a problem haven't replaced them in 2 years but then I use plenty of Glass Cleaner and Rain Repellent.......:D

On the later Mk1's they reverted back to normal hook type arms and standard blades. These things are pretty good, they leave a repellent film behind on the screen which does not interfere with vision and water seems to run off like it did with aquapel.

they do them for the aero wiper arm as well, so I may switch to aero arms then stick xopc aero blades in.

I've had since the end of August and racked up 5k miles and am loving it, even more so since Will at Performance Torque worked his magic on it. I need to sort out the styling a little over the coming months :)

Ey up Tom :)

It's Grey Nappa leather inside with a very dark wood trim and dark chrome around the vents etc. The wood is not a bright colour, that would do my head in, it's pretty subdued.

Equipment wise, it's elegance spec with the L&K Alloy's, Factory MFD1, Front Parking sensors, Grey Nappa Leather, Rear Foot rests (for the rear seat passengers) integrated sunblind for the rear window, multi function wheel, rain sensing wipers sunset glass, electric folding mirrors.

It's mint, still has the brolly in it's wrapping, the protective plastic film on the engine cover and chrome strip in the boot.

Price wise, hell it's a lot of car for the money, I won't do specifics, but well under £11k :D

How do you even spot the difference in windscreen wipers? Just checked out the photos again and still don't notice much about them. :D

Nah it's a sweet looking car man, glad you like it, hope it serves you well. Much prefer the styling of the Mk1s to the Mk2s but I reckon I'm in the minority there.

When you drive a Superb you notice these things, as mine is one of the first Superb's the Aero Wipers were fitted and I have never had a problem with them but I know many other owners have, Skoda then fitted the 'old school' wipers on newer models which is why I noticed these were aftermarket ones..........:o

PS. Agree with the styling on the MK1's and the Facelift MK2's were just to extend the chasis life.......

Is it low yet?
