Hard ride in FL Estate

Featured Replies

ive just picked up a FL Scout and have to say its as good a ride (if not a little better) than my old Octy L&K estate. then again the scout is on 50 series rubber

guess you have better roads to drive on, overhere in india the roads are terrible, alot of bumps & potholes, so must be giving the octavia suspension a nice workout :-) where you from?

The UK. As you're in India, we have several other members from India too, you'd be best to add your location as India in your profile. As most users are UK or EU based, any advice offered will be given assuming this is where you are.

I've posted before onthe hard ride and road noise of my 1.8tsi FL, also very noticeable betwen junctons 11 and 10of the M25. The dealer checked out the ride, and found it normal for the car. I belive the 1.8 is set upfor a slightly sportier ride given its potential power.Somerepsondents said the ride would improve with use and indeed it has. It'sfirm but less uncomfortable after 2k miles. also i suspct the car would be a litle gentler with more weight on board; the truth is despite being anestate it spends most f its time unloaded with just me on board. interstingly pasengers have not complained about the ride!

I have gone from an old Pug 406 to a 2003 Octy, and the ride is far too firm for me; I am really not a happy pixie. I drive quite slowly, epecially around corners, and do not need a firm ride.
