Are the headlamp plastic lenses removable from the headlamp unit?

Or is the headlamp a complete unit?

I want to remove the headlamp plastic lens, and replace it with a new one (is it possible to buy the plastic lens anyway?)

AFAIK the lens is bonded on, and is removable without a lot of messing about

and i'm sure the lens isn't available from a dealers, so full headlamp unit is required

Theres some complete headlight units (standard) on ebay going cheap.

Otherwise, I believe they are bonded on, and have to be heated in the oven / by hairdryer to prise them apart.....

Yeh they do come apart I did mine to paint the trims black. If you can get hold of one cheap it's not worth messing about. It takes about 20 min to get it apart carefully.

Did any of the VRs models come with darkened headlamps as standard? If so maybe it's easier just to buy those lamps off the shelf?
