VAGCOM login advice / immobiliser

Featured Replies

Hello

Just wondering, I am having probs logging in within VAGCOM 311.2N on the intruments part for pairing a new key. I am currently on the current, good key. I've used VAGCOM before to enable cruise using this cable so know it works.

I try and login and get the following error which is described as follows

"The "Login Lost due to dropped session" warning appears in the upper right corner of the screen if a session is disconnected after you have done a Login. You will need to do another Login. G The most common cause of this is the use of an incorrect login code or a 7digit PIN/SKC based on an incorrect Immobilizer ID or incorrect data entered in the 7-digit dialog."

But my code is from the scratch off from my car. The only other thing is that when I went to Skoda dealer, they said they would lock out any stray key from the one I lost (so only my current key works with the car, not the lost one).

But could this have changed my SKC code which I have with my car ? (if at all possible)

I am following the advice on fabia-vrs on key coding, and enter 0 followed by the SKC which was on the scratched out part of my plastic tab.

Just won't work ????

I checked my Superb's 'SKC' a few weeks ago from the scratch off panel supplied with the keys and VCDS did not recognised it as the SKC either .....

Try using an up to date, legitimate tool rather than a knock off for starters.

If you require your SKC or a key coding then I can help you.

Fair point , however mine is a genuine interface running the latest software, yet still couldn't gain access.

I have the full set of (4) keys so have no need for the SKC, all i was doing was checking it was the correct code - which as it turned out it wasn't

Thanks i will bear it in mind in future if ever i need the SKC.

It may still be that the SKC is not for your car, the only way of knowing is to have a look at the car/ECU

Thanks for the suggestion Shark but mansfield may be a long way to code a key for me!

I can do it by post if you can live without the car for a couple of days as you can drop your ECU in the post, but there may be someone more local to you who can help

How can you actually tell this though when I am connected to the ECU, I'm not sure what to look for ?

This would also imply a mistake by the dealer (in both our cases!) which sounds quite naughty, does that happen ?
