Another exhuast question

Featured Replies

:repost: And i've killed another cat.. anyway to more important things.

I'm planning on getting an exhaust system in the next week or two and was wondering which one to go for..

The options:

Miltek - decat full system

Scorpion - decat full exhaust

Custom system..

or any others that people say..

But i've spoke to unit-18 about their system and they think the boost spike will be to harsh having a decat system so i'm slightly put off by that and also the scorpion system doesn't come with the twin 'jets' like the miltek does. Also does getting rid of the back box (and middle if there is one) create the same spiking in boost or will leaving in the cat minimise that?

Just wanting peoples views and what they have gone for, and what they think i should go for. If i can get some turbo spool noise i'll be happier, and more smoke? :rotz::rofl:

I plan on getting a remap in a few weeks too incase this helps?

Cheers guys

i have full blue flame de cat and car had been remapped...wouldnt know it was on tbh and no probs..

I'm wanting a decent sound though

I've got the first prototype jetex system on my VRs and cant rate it highly enough! Even this working prototype is well built! Turbo spools up quicker. Get a bit of noise off it higher up the revs. But its silent when you are cruising at 2000rpm.

They have a very good offer on at the moment. think the system comes in at under £200???

What tip style do they do? as i'm pref after twin rounds like miltek. I'm gonna have a look at a custom exhaust place next week and see how much it'll be to remove after the cat and just put in a pipe with tips on the end.

Just go to your local, or a trusted exhaust place, full pipe with a few silencers... save you enough money you can run at the TDi 1/4 day ;)
