Fabia with a womans touch...

Featured Replies

Last night I'd just picked up some friends, and was sitting at the traffic lights on Castle street waiting to go over the bridge, and then there's a big THUD and the car launches forward 6feet :shock:

I get out the car and there's a wifey getting out her red BMW X5 looking a bit worried. "my foot slipped" were the 1st words that came out her mouth, last time I checked your foot slipping off the clutch doesn't make your car do 20mph!

2 Police officers on the beat who saw what happened came over and asked if everyone was alright and I said a lassie in the back of the car has a pain in her back but everyone's generally OK. Then they disappear again, now I'm pretty sure if it was me who ran into the back of her I'd be getting checks and breathalized with statements, no?!?!?

We swapped details and went our separate ways, and I went upto the hospital to get everyone checked.

Necks a bit stiff today but I'll survive, car's a bit sore too;

The bumper's knackered, it's burst right along the seam, and was all bent in, but I've popped most of it out, as it's plastic :)

The boot's been pushed right in and won't open, picture of the crease at the bottom, I fear the lock mechanism has moved and been jammed :(

And I think that's all, I've not looked at the crash bar or back of the chassis or, obviously, the boot floor yet.

X5 has a cracked number plate.

:evil: :evil: :evil: :cry: :cry: :cry: :cry: :nono: :nono: :slapped: :slapped: :bang: :bang: :bang: :bang:

But, thankfully, everyone's, on the whole, all OK, apart from a little stiffness and pains.

Now just waiting to get insurance sorted out...

not cool at all :thumbdwn: having seen the damage caused to a wall under similar circumstances, it's not even a little bit difficult to believe that her foot simply slipped of the clutch

What worries me the most is that the silly t4rt bought a MANUAL X5!!!!!:D

'Injury' (even mild whiplash) RTC should have resulted in an accident report booklet being completed and as a part of that producers for both yours and her driving documents and a roadside breath test. I assume that the officers confirmed she was insured?
