Fluid leak from somewhere. Any ideas?

Not all the time ! When I park my car on my drive under the car port, never a leak, nil, not a mark.

When I park it on a different section of the drive, on a very slight incline, and with the wheels turned in slightly, I always have some fluid drops and small puddle on drive way. I do not think it is engine oil, and not coolant, seems to be a fine oil. It has about 6 weeks warranty left so will drop it in to local dealer, but any clues please from the teccies amoung you ?

The only fluids used in a car are:

Engine oil - Black and oily

Transmission oil - Clear, oily and smells of cats P

Coolant - Pink and watery

Brake fluid - A clear light fluid

Screenwash - Watery and can smell of Alcohol

In addition and which is the most likey, it is water which has been codensed by the air conditioning system and is venting as designed.

if its box oil it will really stink, a bit like gone off fish

I've just picked up my cat to sniff him (he was not amused :rotz:) - he smells nothing like transmission oil!

HTH? cat5.gif

Which end were you sniffing though?

It will be the a/c condensation, don't worry about it, it shows that it is working.

Forgot to add that there is power steering fluid which is green and oily.

You could try and tell your cat a very funny joke so that it it pees itself laughing and then give it another sniff.:)

Thanx I suspect transmission fluid however I have been scrambling around under the car and found a leak some where from FNS. I trust warranty covers such matters !!
