Which companies sell Xenons?

Featured Replies

Hi,

I'm going to get Xenons retro fitted to my Furby, what type are they H3/H7 etc and they're 6000K right? What cost, and how long to fit?

I know this sounds stupid, but i've never done it before.

Thanks!

is there anywhere in the UK that fits these aftermarket. Or can a dealer do it?

Are we talking about retrofitting HIDs - ie high energy discharge lamps - or brighter bulbs in the original fittings?

retro fitting HID's for me

I dont see how without auto leveling and wash facliity they can be legal as these are both requirements for a HID system.

Also the projector in the headlamp is different on a Xenon light compared with a standard light, so how is a Xenon bulb in a standard light going to project the correct pattern?

Exactly, this is why

It's just a question, I appreciate it may be illegal, just in the way that most people modify their cars and say nothing to the insurance. And to be fair, I dont think that many people are clued up on the legality of it yet, so i'm thinking why not. I can buy a HID kit for

How come so many Nova drivers and saxo drivers have them in their car, have they literally spent 1.5k getting them fitted?

You can get double optical halogen lights that look similar but not as bright. The old Clio 172 Mk1's had them fitted.

OK, I'll give you that one, Jon. I chose a bulb, checked the price which was in dollars, and assumed that it was an American site. I've amended my post to remove the comment about duty. :o

Perhaps they aren't HIDs? I would be interested to hear what is included in the

Not quite

This maybe only for the H7 bulb?
The pics on the site are of an H4 double bulb.

This is all I want, it looks "Xenony" enough for me and for most other people for that matter (most people would think they were full xenons anyway), and it doesnt cost an arm and a leg.

Wonder if they have the blue tint you get with xenons ?

I dont think so, but my Dad's merc doesn't appear to have that either and he has factory fitted xenons, it's just a very clear "real light" white, and I've seen a lot of HID conversions and they all look like the real thing.

I have a slight purple tint to mine and they are factory fitted maybe the buld temprature has something to do with the beam colour ?

Why would anyone actually want a head light system that costs and arm and a leg every time a bulb blows???????????? I just do not get it.

Because once it's on the car you never have to change it as long as you own it, they will probably last about 8 years and I don't plan keeping the car that long & I think the perks of having them outway the cost.

Cause some people like to see way ahead when driving in the night so they can drive more safely know what they are approaching :P
