Hi guys, I've had quite a few cars flash their lights at me whilst driving at night.

Had a look at my headlights and they do look quite bright but what can I do about it?

Can't see anything in the manual about it and before someone says it, no I'm not driving around with my beams on!

are they adjusted correctly ?

they could be pointing across to the right, into the eyes of oncoming traffic

i get this cos of my Osram bulbs but find that if they are adjusted using the control switch/wheel thing on the dash they point much more at the road

If this is the case, how I do I adjust? I don't think they are pointing to the right, they just seem really bright, good for me, not for other road users;)

I did read in the manual about the control switch, if theres just me in the car then it should be on the --- which its on a the moment. It shouldn't be on 1,2 or 3 should it?

As above, they might be pointing too high - move the switch to the right of the steering wheel which should adjust them so they dip more.

Ignore above. What bulbs are you running? Just normal ones or some superbright Halfrauds ones?

I'm not sure which bulbs I've got, only had the car a month, they are very bright

..

I'd get 'em looked at then - could well be you got a HID conversion in there or possibly someone has just fitted some rally ones from Halfrauds - the risk with that is melting of the headlamp casing or warping the reflectors as they get hotter than normal bulbs.

regardless of which bulbs you have adjusting the swtich on the dash should sort the problem.

Nightbreakers are supposedly the brightest legal standard bulbs available and do dazzle a bit if left on the --- setting - however a quick scroll to 3 and they are pointing at the floor with no chance of dazzling anyone but reduced visibility for me.

Easiest way to check the light/right alignment is to drive up to within about 5 feet of a (preferably white) wall with your lights on this will show the shape of the light beams produced
