wow ....... looking at that print damaged my eyes:eek:

Well the brake line brackets look bent, they are soft however and you can probably bend them back easily with a couple of hammers and bit of care...not ideal though and depends how confident you feel about doing that type of thing.

Speak to Damian, he will tell you if its worth sending them back or if you should try to bend them, as they probably came straight from the factory and it may take a bit of time to change.

Are they all ok otherwise, are the threads ok as they look a bit funny on the right hand strut?

Edited by sweedish

yeah the threads are fine just the light

the brake line brackets do look soft, i mean i should be able to bend the back into shape no bother but just incase one of them snaps

i would be a bit wary

They are soft, I bent one of mine when fitting, i carefully used a hammer either side tapping genly at a time to bend it back straight.

Maybe check with Damian to forwarn him of the issue incase there are any problems.

Yeah I have a nylon mallet so I could use that

will speak to damian and see what he thinks

Carefully try and bend them back Stew, any problems give me a shout.

ok mate no worries

will give it a go when i get home

well managed to bend them back into place easy enough using mole grips

weitec need to protect the struts a bit better when boxing, the rears were packaged up inside the box but the fronts had nothing wrapped round them

So tempted by these, went to AmD today. Coilovers usual £390 and half price fitting ' £115 incl wheel alignment!

Dont know if i can resist!

I know I can't wait to get them fitted

just need to wait to buy new top mounts and bushes and have been advised to replace the wishbone bushes while I'm at it

Don't fight it DJM.........

doooooo itttt

It is not completely needed to replace wishbone bushes when changing suspension. It does not really make it that easier just because the strut is out.

You are ok to do that another time unless you have all the parts to do it. Replacing the bushes yourself takes a little time to get the old ones out and new ones in, so plan 4 hours in case for that

well where i work we have a bearing press for putting bearing races into new aircraft wheel hubs so will be easy to get them in and out lol

just want to get most things done in a single go then i know everything is sorted

A doddle then...

Do it Daryl!

Providing they're still doing the Weitecs cheap next spring when my insurance is up for renewal I'm swapping to Flux/CK/Brentacre so I can modify all I want and coilies and a RARB will be at the top of my list

The offer is suppose to be finishing at the end of this year but hopefully Weitec will extend it again.

Damian @ DPM Performance

I've still only got radio because CD Changer is broken so need to do that at some point.

Service highlighted bump stop needs replacing and top mounts so would be rude not to do it all at the same time!

just buy them

you know it makes sense hahahahahaha (twists arm):D
