Got them on my Golf, they're very good!

yeah have noticed alot of golf owners have them fitted, trying to decide to go with just springs and dampers cause if i get the coilovers i dont think i will spend much time adjusting them

but for the same money really i could have the option of adjustment if i want to fiddle

They are VERY good!!

Same as KW varient 1's but with a galvanised front strut instead of stainless.

They get my vote!!

Steve:)

p.s. Are you getting or have you got poly bushes? If not these are worth doing at the same time - front wishbones front and rear set, and the rear beam mounts.

no i aint dont it yet but was going to do them when i make my mind up what to buy

Loads of us have the Weitec Hicon GT's fitted to vRS hatch's, and I've not heard a bad word about them.

I certainly love mine! Here they are: http://briskoda.net/octavia-i/weitec-coilovers-fitted/152157/

At the current crazy prices, I'd snap them up pronto. I bought mine a month too early and missed the offer!

I'd recommend DPM Performance as a supplier (https://www.dpmperformance.co.uk/). I had an excellent service from Damian.

Get them!

I must admit , with the crazy price it is worth getting them

The only problem we have seen , is because of the offer , Weitec can have an issue getting them in.

But at the moment , they are available within 4 to 5 working days

So all good

Sarah

:Dbargain think my mind is made up then weitech's FTW

so looking forward to getting my exhaust when blueflame deliver

+1

awsome for the money and now they are even better

how are they for ride comfort?

I'm also looking to buy, in the not so near future, the Weitec GTs. Are there everyone has or something else?

they are a good all rounder

the ride is stiff and also depends on how low you go. if the roads are full of speed humps and holes I wouldnt bother gettin them, I love them and think they are ace, easy to install and adjust.

if they are on Steves car then thats good enough for me.(its a monster)

Very bouncy for the first few hundred miles, then normal coilover stiff. I actually feel faily nauseous driving my girlfriend's Corsa straight after my Golf due to all the rolling and bouncing over bumps

Yep the folks that have the Weitecs fitted will be the Weitec Hicon GT's.

As stated great value and great coilovers.

This thread might help you.

Who's been lucky enough to have both - BRISKODA - The Skoda Forums

well so far i have heard nothing but good things about these coilovers

so im going to go with this option

:)

they get my vote too, you cant go wrong for the money out there!

just seem really good value for money and nowt but good recommendations

im in there like swimwear

lol, pictures when fitted......just not of you in speedos please!

lol i know you want to see that also ;)

:rolleyes::rofl:

They work really well on the Ring, especially with a rear ARB. This is with them fitted and lowered (about 35mm I think )

And the roads around the Ring are an absolute hoot to drive with coilies and a RARB :D

Awesome stuff, the main reason is for wanting to upgrade is after my ring trip in July

just thought it could do with stiffening up

so by the time I go back in may I shall have a new exhaust, coilovers, new polybushes and new pads

can't wait to go back

Well made kit for sure, make sure you buy new top mounts and bearings (usually sold together) too. I found this out a bit too late and havn't been able to enjoy the coilovers to their full yet.

Just bought a pair of topmounts and bearings for £34 today. Not bad at all.

And yes they are SUPER bouncy. Hopefully this will level out soon (i've just got mine on really)

Wow , great pic

That looks fun too :D

Sarah

Its def worth buying all new top mounts and doing these at the same time as you will only have to do them later, if they are the original ones on the car then they will likely to be well used and the stiffer suspension will just speed up their demise.

The coilovers are a bit bouncier, if you are really low you may need to cut down the rear bump stops too as the car may be riding on these.....going on bowders advice i cut mine down by about 20-25mm.
