Can firmware updates help me?

Featured Replies

Evening all,

Was driving today and the sound on the Stream head unit suddenly went off. Could get no sound on either CD or radio at all, even after switching the head unit off and back on again. I managed to sort it by turning the ignition off and back on, after which it was fine.

Looking at the results of a few searches on here it would appear this is a common one usually accompanied by a 'pop' when the sound goes (I can't remember mine doing this but it may have done, quietly), and it may be fixed by a firmware update in the head unit?

Secondly, this is a problem I've noticed since day one of getting the car but it's finally gotten on my nerves enough to get it fixed, but I get a regular tapping behind the centre console that stops and starts. Like a tap tap tap tap tap.....then a tap tap.......then a tap tap tap. Again a search on here mentions the climate control flaps but there appears to be discrepancies as to whether this can be fixed by a software update again of whether a new flap motor is needed? Can anyone clarify?

It's booked in on Friday to have both of these issues looked at. Might as well use the warranty seeing as though I have it. :)

Thanks in advance,

Chris.
