New vRS

Featured Replies

Don't know if anyone else has seen this yet.

Apparently (according to a Skoda source so it must be true;)) the new vRS will be unveiled early in 2010 and will arrive in the UK later in the year.

It's going to be powered by a 178bhp 1.4 litre petrol engine and they have definitely ruled out a diesel version.

Blue touch paper well and truly lit - retire to a safe distance and enjoy the fireworks....

I'm going to go to Geneva again so I can kick it in the nuts before you lot get your grubby paws on it.

Read the fabia 2 forum!

What for? I don't own a Mk2 and would never consider buying such an ugly, uninspiring and poor handling car...

Well... it's a Mk2 Fabia vRS.... hence the Mk2 forum lol

And the Mk1 didn't handle that well either ;)

That depends how you drive it - remember it's got a huge lump of diesel engine in the nose. Take it slower into the corner and boot it on the way out.

On the other hand the MkII I had as a courtesy car handled like it was on ice (in the middle of August!).

Don't think Decron can create now as it was in Autocar news as well(and that is where I go for reliable motorng news) confirming a tip a motoring journo gave me a month ago.

Not interested though as Autocar say it will cost 16k and that is Clio Sport territory and I know what I would rather have. Skoda seem to be laying in hard with their prices in my opinion losing their trump card of a good value package. Look what you got for 12K with the Mark 1 VRS:That's why it sold.

Agree with this , £16K is way too much , £14K at a push would be sensible money IMHO.
