Quick top up

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I gave me car a good going over last weekend and well impressed. I was going to get some different wax but I already had some Meguires gold wax. Thought I would use this up before going out and buying some more.

The only problem I have now it I cant see it lasting the winter. So I thought when I wash it every week is there anything I can spray on and wipe off relitively quick and be like a little wax top up.????

Cheers

Yep, if you're after something simple and readily available, Meguiar's do a couple of spray-on wax products. Not very durable, but if you're using it weekly then that shouldn't be a problem :)

Halfords should have them, but here's a couple of ideas of what I'm on about...

Meguiars - Ultimate Quik Wax

Meguiars Ultimate Quik Detailer

Hope this helps.

I would go for the above product, better than the Quik Wax and yields great results wash after wash for a week or so........

You will only need one spritz per panel, buff in, then turn the cloth over and buff up to a shine................the bottle will last a fair long time but it depends how often you wash your car..............

If you want something to do in the wash, then you could do worse than Mer.

It's not something I'd use as a car wax on it's own right, but you can put a cap or two of the wax in with the mer car wash.

Do that and it's a really good wash and wax and pretty cheap and easily available too.

The shampoo is really good on it's own too IMHO.

Lasts about 4 weeks, maybe even longer before the beading starts to drop a bit, which IMHO is good for a wash/wax.

ill second the megs ultimate quick detailer awesome stuff!!
