Yeti elegance with Gobi sand and sunroof

Featured Replies

Hi all, first time post!!!!

Just wondering if anyone has seen a Yeti with Gobi sand and sunroof demo anywhere? Would like to see whether the sunroof is worth having with the lighter interior before placing an order.

Test drove 2.0TDICR140 and 1.8TSI have to say 1.8 supersmooth but too thirsty. performance for everyday use didn't feel too different between the two. Very impressed with the 2.0 TDI, much better than my 2.0FSI Octy.

Hoping to order 2.0 TDI Elegance with gobi sand asap.. appreciate everyones advice

Should be able to post some pics of our Gobi Sand interior a week on Friday - can't help with the sunroof though (other than telling you how light it feels without one).

I know Killy has a sunroof on his Muscovado Elegance but no idea on the interior colour.

Might be worth sending him a PM for his views.

PS almost forgot welcome by the way.

Interesting to read your comparison between petrol & diesel; sadly the 1.8 is not cost effective.

bit extra re 1.8 TSI

Gobi sand is terrific but i wonder why a light interior is considered as a luxury from Skoda, available on top spec only, Elegance. Why most of the buyers should travel in a depressing black interior.

In the European market there is much greater choice of interior than we have here, for example light grey for door panelling and lower dash (Photo of this interior on page 10 of the UK brochure!!!).

Personally prefer the darker interiors for there practicality. Although if I had not ordered corrida red for the exterior colour I would have gone for Onyx / Blue instead of Onyx / Silver cloth on my SE to add a bit of colour.

Followed the advice of the colour matching chart in the international catalogue:

I assume you are younger than me.. Personnally, after 25+ years riding in dark interior cars, i need light now! Otherwise, we are the only ones who ordered the corrida red!..

Thanks for the compliment been driving just over 26 years now; where the heck has that gone!!!

The other car we considered was the Golf Plus and that was the same - black cloth standard - except leather was an £1800 option, which took the price way over the Yeti, no 4wd, no Xenons (even as an option), lower-spec audio, and oh so DULL!

Agree, black is so depressing. why not have more trim options available like in Europe.. Thanks everyone for your posts.... Think i'm going to order tomorrow muscavado, gobi sand and panoramic roof provided I can get a good deal.:) Has anyone managed a discount off list?

Discounts are available, depends on the dealer.

Look at the internet brokers such as Drivethedeal:

Buy a Car, Deals on New Cars, drivethedeal.com, New Car Discount, Car Deal Online

or Broadspeed:

New Cars, car finance, buy new car, Broadspeed new cars for sale, UK new cars

Use these figures to haggle the dealer down if you can. Some dealers are not interested so need to be prepared to walk away if need be.

I bought my wife's Corsa through Broadspeed, very straight forward but the draw back is the distance you may have to travel to the supplying dealer although you can get delivered these days.

Oh as an after thought have you considered the silver roof rails; personally think they go well with the Muscovado.

Have thought of adding silver roof rails, having not seen one in Muscavado with them, also unsure if they are worth the extra £100. Are they just painted or metal as opposed to plastic? so far best price I've managed is £22k but this may change if I change my mind again on options.

Find some good photo's of a Muscovado Yeti with sliver rails and Annapurna wheels here:

If you wish to read the article need something like Google translate if you have not already got it.

Regard price will depend also if you have a trade-in but I would have thought you should be able to get close to the Broadspeed price at least.

The Octavia forum are often discussing working their dealers to price match Dtd.

Oh roof rails; have seen the silver ones on my dealers demo, hard to tell but I did not get the impression the were just painted.

Does the baby Yeti come free?
