Multi core setup problems

Featured Replies

Hi,

I have been trying to follow the steps on here to eneable t clients to run on my dual core machine, but when I try to download and open a second one, even to a different location, as soon as I double click it, I get a message saying do I want to repair or remove it?

What do I do?

thanks,

Ben

You can only do multicore on the command line version of the client. The GUI version does not allow you to do this. The multicore version does not need anything installed, apart from the console client which you download and then copy it to 2 different folders to run the client, one on each core.

You might find it beneficial to use the SMP client which makes use of multiple processor cores rather than running two of the normal clients?

I think it is faster than the normal one.

There is also a high performance version that uses your graphics card to do the work and this is super fast with nice big scores achievable but obviously requires a fairly meaty card I think.
