Need another car

Featured Replies

Hello to all...

Right I need a reasonable car...no high mileage 'mad money pit' performance cars (I've already been there with my Legacy Turbo). Money is a little tight to mention. I need a car that is quick and nippy, not too big, five door ideally and okay with Insurance (I only have 1 year NCB and live in a dodgey area with no garage, drive etc.) Its gonna be for a while (NCB up, house in nicer area...) then I get Evo, Impreza or Audi RS4 (Wife doesn't know of course).

I was thinking of a Ford Focus 2.0L Zetec, Honda Accord 1.8i ors something along those lines.

Any ideas...by the way fast is relative I mean in relation to standard cars not warp speed Imprezas!

Thanks to all

Aaquil.

SRi too old and how many doors on the 306 gti...are they reliable?

Thanks guys.

Hi again Aaquil, I believe the Focus won 2nd hand car of the year award in Auto Express or some other mag.

Citroen Xsara is another nice motor...even the Cirtoen mechanics I know rate them quite highly, rattle and squeak a bit but generally reliable, and nice to drive. Hdi best.

Check out Honest Johns website (Daily Telegraph) he does a section on 2nd hand cars. Seems to know his stuff.
