01 Fabia 1.4 16v Comfort Remote Central Locking.. Yes or No??

Featured Replies

I was told by a VAG mechanic that my car should have remote Central locking. When I bought the car the fella gave me 2 standard keys and a key number only. Can you tell me if it should have it fitted pls? The chassis Number is TMBND46Y113158944 if it helps.

Thanks

You should check your comfort module /46/ with VCDS - Adaptation channel - 1

What does that mean??

use diagnostic software VCDS and check adaptation channel 1 on comfort module - 46

I have a 2000 1.4 16v ......it has remote central locking...hope that helps:D

Classic, Elegance, Ambiente....?

Comfort should have central locking (with key in lock) as standard. I think to get remote locking was an option.

It was standard at launch with a flip key, then sometime after Skoda UK wanted to cut their costs and make more money and revised their specifications. Remote locking on the Comfort was no longer standard and air conditioning became a £500 option also electric rear windows were discontinued on the Elegance.

All depends what control module (46) is in the car, otherwise you have to buy new comfort module which support remote central locking.. Like I said, connect yourt to VAG-COM and check you comfort module part number, better would be to check Adaptation channnel number 1 and you will now if your comfort module support it...

My early 1.4 Comfort has both the RCL and flick keys as standard.

This May be of help mate:thumbup:
