PD 160 intake

Featured Replies

Hi was wondering if anyone had a preferance to what was best. PD 160 intake and panel filter or cone type air filter???

Cheers

I use the Green Cotton Panel filter myself.

Only use a cone filter if you want to fill your engine with hot air. If you want COLD air in the engine, stick with the OEM intake, or get a PD160. Opinion is divided whether a panel filter is worth the risk of oiling your MAF. I just change the paper one more often...

Use a pipercross replacement filter. Its foam so no need to oil and not risking the MAF

That's what you think:

Accessories | Pipercross Air Filters

One man's 'dirt retention additive' is another man's oil. If you use a panel filter 'dry', you might as well not bother really, for all the good it'll do you... ;)
