What should I do with little felly ?

Featured Replies

Come early December I'll will be picking up my new Octy and my Felly will become defunct.

It is tax, tested and insured until end of april next year.... so should I;

a. Sell it in December and for how much ?

b. keep it as a second car (for short tip trips / dog training etc)

c. Strip it for bits as per my old A4

d. use it as a project to practice painting panels and repairing bit of rust etc etc

Can anyone else suggest a use ? It's a 1.3mpi facelift (LXi) Estate on an S reg, with 80,000 miles and a recent new head gasket, thermostat, thermostat housing and valve clearances set.

By the way, this isn't a for sale thread. Just gaugeing opinions as it's not really owing me anything financially so I've got more choice to do stuff with.

Drive it to Banjul.

If its running well, not too rusty etc then you might as well sell it.

I'm assuming this is something to do with scumball rally ?

Did somebody say Scumball?

Sorry..

31412.attach

Put it up for sale, have a look round to see if there's any others of a similar age/mileage to get an idea of price.

Less hassle all round really :)

Scumball?

I think not!

The original and best, a 4400 mile trip to Banjul, including the Sahara.

The Plymouth-Dakar Challenge

Did it in a Fel Estate in 07/08.

Sell it, though. Still worth a few quid, especially at the moment.

what you need to do is strip out the interior, but leccy tape X's on the head lights, put a huge engine in there, and thrash it to death

I'm not sure of W Yorkshire prices, but expect somewhere between £350 and £600 for it as a private sale, Arthur Daley's used car showrooms sell them for between £500 and £800, although I did see one really clapped out model, with all the Felly faults AND a few extra ones (bad respray, leaking seals, damp carpets, rusty wheel arches, bonnet catch broken, dashboard bits broken etc); being offered at £1800!!!!

:+1:

Yorkshire has hills, so what you need is a rally slag :D

Not sure a felly estate is the best base for rally/track use

 who said anything about a track....

an estate version is better because there's more room for hoe's in the back

garden hoes? or you mean hood rat ho's

The hatchback was used for rally. The estate is the same as the hatchback with an extra bit of length on the back. Hatchback might be better, but if you have an estate I'm sure it would be ok!
