Bloody Typical...........

Featured Replies

At the beginning of July I hit a deer and had to replace the headlights, and wing and get most of the front end repainted. I bought Depo Smoked lamps off a shop on ebay. had a sidelight bulb go out this morning. So changed it and pushed the cover back onto the lamps, as I pushed them the 2 upper brackets on the drivers side headlights both broke clean off. Talk about pee'd off!

Pikey'd a couple of self tappers through the brackets into the upper section of the headlights to hold the lamp in place while I decide what to do - either replace them both with a different set of lamps. or just buy a 2nd hand replacement std d/s headlight and go back to the original lamps. Or maybe take both pairs of lamps apart and transfer smoked section over from the Depo's into a set of std lamps.

Can you not go to a scrappy and get some clips off a written off fabia, should be cheap then? If your lucky! they seem to be quite rare at the scrappy!

not the clips that hold the headlight together. You know on top of the headlight there are 2 screws that hold the headlight in place. Its them brackets on the headlight that have both snapped off!

Sounds like a reasonable case for a refund to me! :thumbdwn: They shouldn't just break using the normal force to clip back on the cover. :(

Company has told me to take a hike! Your fault - you broke them!

How did you pay? Paypal or Credit Card refund scheme possible?

Mine did this, just screwed a black self tapper in

EDIT: do you mean the brackets for the cover on the back or actual headlamp?

Sounds to me like the brackets the two bolts through the slam panel screw in to.
