Seriously though, haven't driven a petrol for ~5 years and had a FL Octavia vRS TSI for the day to test drive. Loved it. So quiet, smooth, comfortable....when I got back in my Ibiza FR TDi, it sounded like a bag of spanners in comparison.

After being dead-set on the CR TDi, then having to drop that idea due to DPF/driving style conflict, the TSI has become the main option for me. The one niggle for me is all about the MPG - quite a jump down from what I'm used to with a diseasal, would definitely require a more thoughtful approach to driving so as not to guzzle too much - not one to hoon it around all the time anyway, but I can feel a bit of fuel-economy-paranoia. Though I suppose fuel economy would increase as the engine runs in and as I get used to driving a petrol.

Now just got to decide whether to place an order!

I only look at the mpg in the trip computer every 10 secs so not that paranoid, and filled up with V-power at £1.14 a litre, happy times:D
