I have just fitted a set of the Unique Car Mats and they look brilliant. I have the SE with cloth seats, these are black with silver patterning. I ordered the mats with the silver-black trim and they match perfectly. Will report on the wear and tear performance when they are "run in"!

Hi Terfyn,

Glad you are pleased with them. The black with silver trim is what I also fitted, and I agree that they look good, particularly with the silver trim matching the silver of the SE trim.

Whats the price like compared to genuine Skoda ones ?

Or is the quality better ?

(The ones in my Pug 107 have a scotchbrite edging to them - they look pretty cool !)

With P&P the total came to £39.73. All the prices are on the web site. You can even have a Logo of your choice embroidered on the mats!

The mats are a bit thinner than I expected (10mm for the luxury grade) but, if the material is tough, they should last a good time.

For those UK YETI owners (current & future) can I recommend the following link for car mats at very good UK prices. I have just received a set of 4 tailored mats and they are of a good quality.

Unique Car Mats UK Ltd. - Manufacturer of Tailored and Personalised Car Mats

Can you please tell me if the Yeti comes with standard factory matts is the dealer optional ones are not selected?

You can select factory supplied floor mats with all but the E spec. I have these and the just plain black textile material. You can also get rubber or textile mats as an official accessory from your dealer and I believe they both have a Yeti logo.

Then there after-market suppliers as Yonderend has used.

Regards,

TP

Should we now decide on a standard SMOC logo?

If these mat people would do quality tailored mats with the Yeti logo on them and all the choices of edging etc, they would get quick sales me thinks ?

If the Unique mats did a beige trim to the mats which might be the nearest to my gobi trim, then they might have a sale, but will see what the dealer quality branded mats are like ?

Which ones did you order, as I'm interested in the rubber ones for my Yeti?

De luxe black, about £26 incl delivery.......great fit, look good.

I just bought a set of genuine rubber yeti mats from a dealer in Sheffield. Good price, £31 and they fit well, even say Yeti on them. They are heavy and substantial. The worst bit was hoovering all crepe out of the footwells before putting them in. Parts chap offered me a discount on list prices if I bought mudflaps or a rubber boot protector as well but I'm not interested in either of them.

Noticed that the yeti doesn't come with car-mats. So I thought I would order some in advance. Simple question to those of you who have a Yeti (unlike me who is merely wating for one!) do I need them with 2 holes or 4 holes? 4 holes means holes for both driver and passenger mats. 2 holes means just on drivers mat. Are there 'studs' for both the driver and passenger side? if there are then 4 holes is what I want.

I have the rubber Yeti mats. The are 2 stud holes on the drivers mat and on the front passenger mat, the other mats are solid.Did not even have to pay for them,Mitchells Skoda gave me the complete set free of charge when I purchased the car.

As above OEM carpet mats are held in place with two studs (already affixed to carpet) for both the front near and offside mats and the rears are held in place by an anti slip finish on the backs, which 'grips' the carpet. Personally I think the rubber mats are better quality but I ordered the carpet ones as a factory option with the first Yeti (in hindsight should not have bothered).

Oh the factory carpet mats are just plain black, whereas the dealer option ones have a Yeti logo on the fronts.

I agree.

As part of the deal for buying the car back in 2010, I had flaps & mats supplied.

With hindsight I should have asked for the rubber mats rather than the carpet mats which, although very smart looking, are not terribly practical. I subsequently bought a set of Skoda rubber mats - the fronts locate with two studs which make a fairly watertight seal, the rears just lie in the footwells but don't seem to move about. All 4 rubber mats have a ridge around the perimeter which is pretty effective at containing water on the mats & stopping it running off (up to a certain depth obviously!). So, after just 1 week's use, the carpet mats now reside in my garage!

I'd wholeheartedly recommend the genuine Skoda rubber mats - in fact, I'd say they are essential unless you never get your shoes dirty - or wet
