Aldi (Medion) All-in-one PC's

Featured Replies

Don't really like the Medion stuff, and seems quite a bit of cash - suppose it is touchscreen though. How much would you use that feature though - perhaps it's a bit of a fad/gimmick that you might not make much use of once the novelty's worn off?

My money would go elsewhere personally...

I've had a Medion Laptop for 2 years now and it's been absolutely faultless.

The customer service is superb and most of their products are covered by a 3 year warranty as standard.

Depends what you want it for really.

The touchscreen might be pretty cool especially with Windows 7 and it's integrated support for touchscreen stuff.

Suppose the only this is that the specs aren't brilliant and for something like that you would have though a Core2Duo would have suited nicely with a beafier GFX card but if games wouldn't be your aim for it then it will be plenty fast enough.

Medion themselves are pretty good TBH and will troop on for years no doubt. Never get anything branded as "Tevion" from there!

We have a Medion Laptop at home as well, no problems with it at all. Seems well put together, good spec for price, and nothing has broken yet. For £599, you are getting a lot for your money. Good graphics, 4GB Ram, 1TB HD, Freeview Tuner, and Full HD resolution monitor.

Dont get Medion and Tevion muddled up. Tevion are a cheapo brand sold in the likes of Lidl and Aldi some of whos products have major reliability problems, wheras Medion are a different company alltogether and sold in many more places including Halfords, Sainsburys, Asda, Lidl, Aldi and so on.

Yes sorry. I should have made it clear I wasn't comparing the two there just warning never to buy them! lol

I had a car stereo some years aga now made by Tevion and it didn't last two minutes! And my partner had a DVD player that again didn't last two minutes!

Don't recall seeing any Tevion branded stuff there lately. Either I have missed it or they have stopped selling it due to all the returns they got!?

A client of mine has dozens of HP TouchSmart AIO desktops which look exactly like this, but only have 1680x1050 screens and they cost a grand. They're really pleased with them. The touch thing works very well, just like a big iPhone.

I think the price point on this Medion at Aldi is spot on. I'd buy one of these if I just wanted to browse the web and do office stuff certainly.

I have a 32inch LCD tevion TV, bought it about 6 years ago, and it is still going strong - use it as my daily TV. Has many features my mates 32inch LCD Sony (purchased at the same time) doesn't - like PC/DVI input, picture-in-picture, etc.

Is the handprint extra or included in the price?

Oh, it doesn't support multi-touch according to that :( .

Just get a decent AV for it this time! ;)
