Exhaust rattles off rear valence- how is it mounted?2. where can i get the spring bolts for the downpipe to cat exhaust section? Exhaust is new but appears to have been fitted by ray charles...3. the drivers door barrel appears to pullout when you remove the key-locks/unlockss fine-is it a clip thats missing?4. Clutch adjustment- its cable right?I've been driving hydraulic ones for so long i want to be sure how to adjust it prior to trying! Thanks in advance!Neil

I can answer a couple of those for you...

1. the rear silencer is mounted with rubbers and some really tough little clips that hold the rubbers in place. They are cheap if you need some new ones. Just grab from Skoda garage as they have the proper shaped ones with the clips etc. The middle section is simply an oval shaped rubber mount that is pretty generic. Might be worth replacing them all if it is causing problems as they do get worn over time.

2. You can get them off ebay or I think Jorily sells thems. Think it is known as a fitting kit for the catalytic converter as they also come with a little gasket for the cat too.

4. yes the clutch is adjusted via a little threaded section under the bonnet on top of the gearbox housing. Can't remember off the top of my head which way to turn etc but a bit of trial and error is fine. It is more for the adjustment of the pedal really that the clutch and don't make it too tight as it will pull on the lever and cause the clutch to slip.

Can't help with 3. as never delved inside one of the doors/locks but I imagine there will be a circlip on the inside of the door holding the barrel in... it has probably broken/worked it's way loose.

Hi Phill thanks for the answers- I'll ask Jorily asap re the bolts etc.

Apologied for the post appearing rambled- I'll sort it just now..

No worries.

There only seems to be one item on ebay that it the fitting kit for the cat although other people selling the catalytic converters sell them as they advertise to request a fitting kit while buying the cat.

Item number: 110256390728

Although see what Jorily comes up with... he may be able to provide just the bolts/springs.

an e30 17mm seat bolt, and nut sorted the downpipe issue

removing the cable tie that was holding the exhaust against the valence fixed that

looks like steve wonder fitted the exhaust-much better now though...

thanks for the help
