Not sure how long this is going to be before it's possible, but as and when it would be interesting to hear any test drive comments on a CR170 - ideally from someone with some experience of the CR140. And specifically:** Just how does the performance compare?** Any difference in eg noise levels or any other non-performance related detailsAlso, is there anywhere to find out hard information about eg gear ratios on the CR170? I note for instance that the Autocar CR140 Yeti review gave rpm:mph details for each gear. Not sure where this info came from as I've not spotted it in any of the Yeti brochures - maybe there's a technical manual already published? Any reason to expect the gearing (inc final drive) of the CR140 to be different from CR170?

That sort of data is usually in the owners manual so Autocar perhaps just get it from that on the test cars. Sadly I just gave my demo back but anyone who owns a Yeti might look for you?

The gear ratios and the axled ratios for the 140 hp and 170 hp engines are identical. One thing I do not understand is that there are two axle ratios shown - Axle ratio I and axle ratio II. Front and back axle rartios different?That would mean no full lock-up possible for the Haldex coupling!!I I still have not found any technical details on the difference between the three 2.0 CR diesel engines. It seems that the internal engine mechanicals must be the same? Different turbo's, injectors and of course the mapping?Inquiring minds want to know.

I still have yet to see any reports even on the CZ auto website on the CR170. I presume they haven't been released from the cage yet, anywhere.

Originally my build date was Wk45 for a CR170 ordered on the first possible day but this was put back to Wk48 (this week) so perhaps CR170s haven't been built until about now so a road test might appear soon, somewhere!

James emailed me today to say no definitive production date yet has appeared on the Allams computer, 3 days left in Wk48.....!!

We will have a CR170 first drive report on Monday. Mine will be delivered tomorrow and we have a long weekend trip planned. First impressions will be based on 4 years of Octy Combi 140 PD performance.
