Just a note to let those of you who have helped me on my quest to turn on the DRL function on my FL Elegance. After many days, weeks etc..have finally got them working thanks to gadgetman and Arbury Skoda, Leamington Spa.That said still unable to set the cornering fogs.......but I will not be beaten by the machine! I got my cornering fogs done via VCDS, was under 09 Central Electrics then Byte 14, Bit 7 one tick and everything was working. This also worked for a FL Elegance that was there at the same time.

As it happens the DRL's was the one thing we couldn't seem to enable via VCDS.

I picked up a new FL Scout a few days ago(with Xenon's spec'd) and asked the dealer to enable DRL'si'm happy with the results but it wasn't quite what i expected....i was expecting the fog lights to be on as DRLs, but on closer inspection there is only one bulb in the foglights (not two) and the DRL functionality is actually on the Xenons?has anyone else seen this configuration? As i say its not an issue , just unexpectedCheersJon

Just got my car Elegance FL back from the dealer. They managed to activate the DRLs and the cornering lights.

The DRLs and Cornering Lights use the fog light housing, but with the seperate bulb to the actual foglights.

As a footnote, I think someone queried whether the rear fog lights could both be activated with the VAG Com. On my Elegance, built around KW 38, they are now both working after my trip to the dealer.

I asked for DRL's on my Scout (non Xenon). The DRL they seemed to activate was dipped beam.

I was expecting side lights.

TBH I disabled it again using the stalk since the auto-lights seems quite eager to light them up.

I'm not sure if they're all coded that way, but my DRLs are on all the time unless it's dark.

DLR's in the foglights are only on facelifted Octavia 2's, with the the VRS having LEDs

The FL Scout i've just got has the DRLs (and cornering lights) activated on the Xenons. when they fire up they sweep both up/down and left/right

Yes, as you have AFS, the cornering is done by the lights.

Should still have an option for DRLs on fogs though. Find your local VCDS member using the list in the diag forum.
