You have a weird taste in men Amanda!

Although I maybe perhaps overlooking a slight possible difference in age between us though!? hehe

I've got a fairly big nose :)

You're in there with Amanda then!

:)

Cheeky sod. Besides Jean Reno is gorgeous, just not in a convention way, I think it’s his voice. Makes me go all funny :D Actually James May has a lovely voice too and it is probably what I like about him too.

You have no understanding of the big nosed man :DJean Reno has a big nose too ;)

Jean gets away with it... by being French. He needs it for wine and cheese appreciation ;)

OTOH, the balance and control of lift-off oversteer is, as far as I can see, unaffected by nose size. Which leaves Mr Potato out in the cold :P

So did the Fiat Multipla (trying to get back on topic). :D

I don’t know if there has ever been a correlation between nose size and racing prowess? Although Alain Prost could hoover up a fair bit if he sniffed

I mentioned lift-off oversteer, so got away with it :D

We are old pros EEK!

Going back to the topic in hand, I'm not sure the Superb featured at all?

Yes - but that had some well dodgy headlamps (back off topic :))

Not directly. As said, it was just something to pull 'the feature' along with, in the initial stages :)

Bit of a shame really, as it looked lovely - not seen one in silver before and it really suited it.

I agree, it did look good.

I didn't think Top Gear was actually that good this week :(

Really?

I thought it was one of their finest episodes.

I loved the Lancia item. Lovely things all of them. I so wanted a Gamma, but luckily a wise old bird at my Bank told me I couldn’t have/afford one

I did enjoy the Lancia piece, a lot - that was a proper bit of TG IMHO :)

Sounded good over on BBC HD too - lovely sounding vehicles

My Beta Coupe sounded even fruitier than the HPE that they set fire to, as it had the then rare and seriously expensive Ansa exhaust fitted. Proper Ferrari orange lining to it too, very girl racer in it’s day (you were probably still playing in a sand pit or with lego in those days Steve :D ).

Going completely OT, when is TG going to be a car programme again ? It's been utter crap. A good five minutes of review of the Superb would have been much better than hooning around in a Lambo and some stupid caravan/balloon contraption being blown about by the air plod.

The Caravan thing was pretty clever though. Apart from the landing problems, I think it would be brilliant to go camping in it. Imagine at the next big Brisky camping weekend landing in that :D .You might have to set off early though.

You might never get there either....

it would be fun trying

Sorry, but I'll never tire of seeing a Balboni  - a proper Superb review would have been nice though I admit....

Steve

Well I thoroughly enjoyed TG on Sunday, the Lancia piece was one of the best bits of motoring journalism I've seen on the old tellybox :). The baloon piece was a tad tedious, and I just felt uncomfortable about the Norwich Airport bit, I do wonder whether it was actually staged or not

The Superb looked stunning, silver really does suit it well. :)

An enjoyable episode all the same.

I feel there has to be at least a degree of 'staging' with the airport bit, for everyone's safety. He would have been alerted A LOT earlier than we saw that he was about to enter restricted airspace IMO....

Steve

The big give away that most TG stunts and mishaps are staged is the fact they shoot the whole thing with 1 or 2 cameras when on the road. So when you think about how long it takes to get all the shots and angles, they have a snowball in hells chance of catching all these mishaps live. They have over egged the pudding imho and should move back to car stuff for a while and occasionally visit the after side of things. James Mays recent Toy series showed how to do daft properly imo :D
