Featured Replies

took the car out to my parents this morning first time i have driven her for a month due to moving etc etc.. anyway traveling down hook road 40mph and some little or big fecker decidesthats it will be fun to pull up the thames water man hole covers... the small flap ones!!!! well i hit it at 40mph and it broke off and have done something to the exhaust as it now rattles!!!!!! i have taken photo's of the said item as up the same road there was 4 more in the up position so had to close them down. poor chap at the bus stop had a fright of his life when it happened as i skidded to a halt and turned engine of asap as i though i had done the sump again lol why do people do this sort of ??

Hope the damage isn't too serious

im sure its just bent it slightly as it drives and sounds fine just has a really annoying rattle but you never know will look tomoz. ( maybe another christmas present to myself is needed ;-)

I hit a concrete block in the road many years ago in an Astra GTE at a fair pace (hmmmmm), not much damage except took out undertray, oil filter dented, and the catalyst core disintegrated and rattled around.

little scrotums!

one of them situations where you count yourself lucky that it didnt hit anything more important. but also one that shouldnt have happened in the first place!

hope it's nothing more than a dent in the exhaust mate!

  • 3 weeks later...

well had a rattle from the exhaust so went to a mates garage to have a look at the damage well all i can say is bugger lol

the centre mount for exhaust was well and truly smashed to pieces bent up into the floor in turn has put a big dent into the floor pan !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

so going to have to take seats out to flattern floor not to hard and order a new bracket from skoda tomoz

currently running with no centre mount on the exhaust but hey ho just another cost!!!!!!!

The little tikes (putting it politely) need a good spanking. Things like this I can't understand, pointless in the extreme and annoying and dangerous to the rest of us.

Annoying costs and inconvenience for you but I suppose on the brightside it could have been worse.
