Parking sensor graphics on Bolero

Featured Replies

My new VRS is now coming without the rear parking sensors I ordered, dealer or Skoda have cocked up.

Has anyone retrofitted park sensors to an Octavia and hooked them into the graphics on the head unit?

Could I reasonably insist that the dealer fits them as per a factory fit with full functionality with the Bolero or would this be mission impossible for a Skoda dealer

If this all proves too much for them I am then faced with fitting them myself or getting a fitter to do it.

there seems to be two numbers listed for the Octavia FL in web brochures for rear parking sensors.

On skoda.cz it lists DMA609001

in UK its ZGB000052296 The brochure for this one quotes 'This product does not interface with the Skoda Radio and therefore does not support the visual display of the car and objects around it.'

I can not see what the difference is visually

What size are the factory ones, 18mm, 21mm or 22mm

I want to have a set that looks exactly like an OE fit

Any tips or advice most welcome

I have had a set of dealer fit rear parking sensors retro fitted to my vrs le, which has a bolero headunit, at a cost of £260 and can confirm they do not interact with the bolero in any way, they just emit a beep from the boot. Very disappointed, no better than a cheap ebay set.

Have you tried to google ZGB000052296? They look exactly like the £16 ones I got. I think that part number must refer to the dealer fitted option which is a Cobra kit or similar iirc. When I tried to get originals for mine I was told you cannot get them, at least in the U.K.

Thanks for the link. Had a good read over the weekend and it showed further links to www.vwnavi.com which showed it can be done if you have the right cables and park distance controller.

However I will not be going down this route as dealer and SUK have confirmed that my car will be built with factory fit parking sensors

When they looked at the new Skoda computer last Friday the parking sensors appeared to have been left off the build. However they now realise that some of the options are shown in a different way or place on the screen and hey presto, they have found the park sensors are still

showing up as being on the car when it is built in 2 weeks time

Yep, seen that also, on the new system the detail box on the screen for options is quite small, however, when they press the page down button.........Hey Presto, all is revealed.

Glad its sorted though.
