Ok, I locked my Fabia vrs up with all the windows shut and when I returned around 2-3hours later, the windows are down and the doors open. this repeated last night, and again this morning but without unlocking the doors. I have been advised that this is a door latch issue mainly from water.Could anyone advise whether this is the most common cause, and and remedial action I could take to rectify this?Thanks in advance,Dave

I can't offer a fix, but it does sound like you've got a short somewhere as unlocked doors and open windows is what you get if you hold the key in the lock in the unlock position.. so it could be a bad connection triggering the same procedure.

yes the same as if you turn the key and hold in the lock, guessing this mad downpour of rain hasn't helped

Try disconnecting the battery for a few minutes to do a hard reset on the convenience unit...

i did that this morning after it was having a fit with the lock and windows and seemed to clear. But after it was locked up at work within 3hours it did it again. I am thinking of giving the lock a blast with water dispersing fluid this eve. Also I gave it a go by using the key in the lock over the keyfob.

I have booked the car in for later this week but still not the most secure car now!! will have to disconnect the battery when leaving the car now lol.
