Will The Official Skoda 2006 Bootliners And Door Sill Protectors Fit My 2005 Octavia Estate?

Featured Replies

I am just looking at the official skoda accessories website for some Door Sill Protectors and a Boot Liner for my 2005 Skoda Octavia Estate.

The parts in the 1997-2005 Section all look a load of crap, and the photos are useless to help me make a decision, what the hell is this?

Is that photo supposed to inspire me to spend £75? Christ.

I currently have the flat loading raised boot floor insert thing, but I want to take it out and get some kind of non-slip mat because I'm sick of stuff crashing around in the boot (like my fuel can) when I'm driving. I like the look of this, but not sure if it will fit?

I like the look of these door sils, but again they are in the 2006 section. Will they fit?

All of the "local skoda dealers" around me only seem to do Skoda as a thing on the side, none of them seem to be anything to do with VAG, they don't have new Skodas in their showroom nor do they keep these parts in stock. Does anyone know anyone who keeps these in stock around me? (Stratford-upon-Avon, CV37) The last one I went to for a service was a peugeot dealer, and it ended up costing me a fortune in labor as apparently mine was the first cambelt change they had done - not very confidence inspiring!

If these bits do fit, and someone wants to buy them to have my False Boot Floor, would that be a good swap?

Why dont you simply adjust the variable boot floor in an appropriate manor to stop the items flying about. You have three different floor combinations.

I presume the sill covers will fit an estate since it says so on the website: "Suitable For: Octavia Hatch and Estate 2006 >"

Anyhow, I just bought a set in plain black (without the Octavia s steel panel) for 37 pounds part number: KDA600001.

They are quite light guage hard plastic with adhesive strips on the back. They look okay when fitted but are not as thick or solid as they look. The adhesive strips pad them out.

There is a fitting kit available that positions them exactly but I expect only a dealer fitting them every day would bother.

I found it easy to judge by eye where they fit - especially the front ones.

The instructions included shows a picture of some solution applied to the paintwork prior to fitment but it turns out to be just some VW "intensive cleaner".

Do I? It just seems to be two walls and a lid.
