Cupping on inside of the tyre

Featured Replies

Hello

I’m hoping you kind people could give me some advice on what to do next. I have quite bad Cupping on the inside of both front tyres (nearly down to the wire), this appears to have started happening since the Koni FSD's were fittedn and at the same time i also had the console bushes changed to the Cupra ones. The car has done 90k and I’m running on Toyo Proxy T1R's. I have not had a full hunter alignment since having the suspension done but looking at past posts this might not be related to alignment and more wear to suspension components.

So I ask is it worth getting a hunter alignment done first or which components should I be checking for wear?

Thanks in advance

Carl

Idealy, you should be getting an alignment done if you fiddle with any suspension component, so go get it done!

Sounds like too much negative camber, which isn't adjustable, so something is fitted wrong during the mods. It's doubtful a geometry setup would correct it, but it would at least tell you where the problem is. You can only even out front camber, by moving the subframe from side to side,

Adjustable top mounts too... but on FSD's its doubtful you're that low.
