Estimated 0-60 time

Featured Replies

Just out of boredom ive got thinking in a remapped fabia vrs 170bhp 295lbs ft torque what do you reckon the 0-60 time is??

Edited by adamg30

the standard time is 8.5seconds, id say about 7 - 7.5seconds

Standard time is about 9.5 seconds isn't it? So I would say remapped stock would be about 7.5 seconds with a good technique. :) Mines nowhere near stock, and I've yet to get better than 6.3 to 60.

If you are interested in 0-60 times why do you have eyes on a deezil? :giggle: I would say to actual 60, not indicated best part of 8 seconds. The vRS is all about mid range preformance.

If you want good 0-60 times, your better off going for the 2.0.

These will see off a Mustang no problem.

lol :)

It spins away most of the power when you launch of the line anyway...

The 'standard' time quoted in magazines etc. is measured with two 85kg-ish adults in the car. You can knock about a second off that if you ditch the passenger. I'd say with that much extra power you're probably looking at about 7.5-8.0 seconds. The biggest problem with getting good 0-60 times in the Furby is the short second gear which means you need 3rd to hit 60mph (certainly on mine) so you have two gearshifts which makes for a longer than necessary 0-60 time.

i can get just under 7 secs im my remapped furby with 340 torque. thats with a gtec performance meter

i did a 6.5 at york raceway on timing gear, that was with 176bhp/346 ft lbs

And no back seats, right?

Best I got with my standard vRS (154bhp 290lbs/ft Trq) was 8.4 seconds timed using GPS gear, with just me in the car, managed a 6.2 in the 'Teg so far :-)

I'm sorry but did you just type 290 lb/ft standard?! ouch! :D

This is where the magic of 2nd gear starts come into play. If you can get a decent launch off the line in 2nd then you only need one gear change to achieve 60 and you will shave time off your best 0-60.

Best figure i've got recorded from the skip is 5.85secs. According to Gary (oilburninut) it ran quicker than that on that day with shifty behind the wheel. :o

No, no! They were just laid flat... :giggle:

9.37 B) Rubbish take off too

Yup, 290. Car was bought new from Skoda and rolling roaded with about 5k miles I think, the 1st te anywhoo. With it having a warrenty I didn't care whether the clutch went or not (Which, surprisingly, it didn't).

Anyway don't have it now, on to some other chap :-)

I've managed 3.2 seconds 0 to 60, but then again that was in a Westfield with a 2.0 Pinto lump :giggle:
