Onyx Wax.......

Featured Replies

So I've had a bit of atrawl through a search on the term "wax" but over 200 posts, i gave up after post number 75.... :(

I fished out my tub of Wax, courtesy of the Wax Wizard, and went to town on the Octy this afternoon.

However, the north is a harsh mistress, and what was once a lovely creamy smooth wax has gone a bit grainy and lumpy.

I seem to recall someone saying you could reverse this a bit with some gently warming. But, without precise instrcution, I'm loathe to do something which could ruin an almost untouched pot of an excellent product.

Help.....

PS - the Octy looks gorgeous. I would have done the Peanu butter thing too, but it's very dark now and i ache all over......gonna get some "de-stressing" later ;)

I've put my Swissol kit somewhere safe where my sons can't find it. Now I can't either..............:(

Well when one of you two has come out from under the other's bed....... :P

will you tell me how to solve my problem.?

Ta.

And Denis, what's the big problem with junior finding the swissol? Haven't you trained him to clean the car for you yet? :D

Sadly i have no idea how to solve it..

But keeping it in a "warm" place certainly seems to prevent it.

i did try keeping it in the house, but the prblem of sharing with other is that others tend to occassionaly tidy things up. My Wax Wizard gear got put in a box in the shed.

Wax is back in kicthen, still looks weird. grainy, but with distinct "sweaty" look about it....... :(

Hopefully, when it finally get's used to the temps, might stabilise.

I mean, it goes on fine, just that it looks a bit unhealthy, that's all.I know it doesn't really make a difference, but I'm a perfectionist.

To that end, whats the best way of cleaning those pink little microfibre clothes? (can't you just tell I'm not domesticated yet.....)

One owns a BMW325, the other a 200SX S14a. Neither knows how to clean/polish any car other than their own. :(

Bung 'em in the washing machine with detergent but NO fabric conditioner - job's a good 'un.
