Passat cluster on Octavia

Featured Replies

Hello everyone.

What you guys think of Passat cluster on Octavia? I've seen a couple of Golfs4 with Passat cluster (with full MFD) and to my mind it can be easily done on Octavias. Any idea?

Just compare:

So what's the difference between a Passat and a Golf cluster then? I'd be suprised if a Passat cluster physically fitted into the Octavia.

Not all golf clusters go with MFD and chrome rings, so some golf owners replace clusters with passat ones.

Physically there are no problems to fit Passat cluster - the inner part of Passat cluster fits into the octavia cluster housing perfectly well. Cannot say so about software compatibility.

Golf owners generally go for Bora Sport clocks as they have the chrome rings and obviously Golfs and Boras have the same dash etc so it's a relatively simple swap.

Never seen anyone put Passat ones in though.

EddyH changed all of the dash illumination in his car to red/blue.

Here's an example of Passat cluster in Leon.

I've got a Golf mk4 with MFA cluster in an Octavia L&K housing with chrome rings.

I would say that's doable, not done it myself but I'd be happy to have a go at it (and I have a brand new Passat cluster here as it happens).

What about Seat Alhambra cluster has oil temp and volts
