trial fitted a ibiza cupra hurricane filter today,went for a bit of a drive,came home and took it back off.

A:it needs securing propperly

B:i need a crank case breather filter

C:it sounds like a bloody bus now

i was expecting a little extra noise,but this is just obscene,i was hoping for a bit more growl from the engine as my 2 16v motors produced,but there wasn't any until i dipped the clutch to change up a cog,can't really hear it out side,but in the car you can clearly hear the RS TURBO tish..

QUESTION

does a panel filter and cold air feed do this also?

with an induction kit you hear everything... the spool, the whistle and the tish, some like this, me included.

with the green panel filter you hear the spool (very slightly) not so much the whistle and alittle tish (nothing like the induction though).

Just joking of course, but if you dont want the tsshhh then a panel filter is the way to go - you'll still get a little bit of noise of course but nothing like an induction kit
