Octavia 1.9TDI Est first service advice

Featured Replies

My 2008 (registered December) pre-facelift Octavia 1.9TDI Elegance Estate has done very many fewer miles than anticipated (mainly as a result of my 02 Fabia still going extremely strongly at 155k!) However, despite having done only 7000m, I've decided to havea first service early in the New Year. I'm taking it to Horton's of Lincoln, who have impressed me on a few occasions by their courteous and helpful advice (although the car was purchased from a local garage, which was a Skoda franchise for over 30 years before being forced to go with Daihatsu.)

I am going to have the servicing changed to fixed intervals. I also know that it is possible to activate automatic door-locking once the car reaches a certain speed and, I think, make the boot opening easier - it currently seems to need two presses of the remote (not a real problem, but one would be easier.)

My main question is, are there any other little tweaks or modifications which a franchised dealer can do and which it might be worth my considering?

With many thanks to anyone who replies.
