Small Fabia update

Featured Replies

Well been a busy two days for the vRS. It got it's long awaited remap on Wednesday night so it now should be around 170bhp with 290lb ft torque. This thing bloody flies now! Such a big noticeable difference from when i first got it

Then me and my mate fitted the Coil overs on Thursday. This is them at their supposed lowest setting which is supposed to be 120mm but i highly doubt it. Will measure it tomorrow and find out exactly how low they are. But the rears are deffo on their lowest and i have three threads left at the front

Cars not been washed since Monday so excuse the colour of it. It's worse now than when the pics were taken lol

Looking good,

Overall Nice!

Mike the cars low enough, It'll look crackin' on the Evolo's

Only 170/290 on a remapemoticon-0136-giggle.gif

If you want a CTR Splitter let me know I'm 2 doors down from a SEAT dealer at work!emoticon-0148-yes.gif

The car is sitting lower at the back than the front, so it looks like you have a heavy load in the boot.

TBH, I dont know why you want to be so low. Having read tales of broken sumps on this forum, I am suprised people still do this.

Fitting coilovers on there own and going this low without fixing the rear camber which will now be miles out, will lead to excessive tyre wear on the rear. Also expect to frequently replace the front CV boots and possibly the joints as they are now operating well outside their design tolerences.

Going low in not an option for me, and found my MKI Octavia too low :(

I have a LCR splitter sitting have had for a while just never gotten round to fitting it tbh.

I don't mind about rear tyre wear tbh I expect it to happen anyways had lowered cars for ages so used to it and in general I need front tyres every 2 months and rears after about 6 months

The sumps still a good bit off the ground and it spends more time on the motorway than surface roads. Only time it sees surface roads is going to work and back and it's not in danger of ever hitting the deck on the roads I go and it clears all the speed bumps in my mrs' street so it's all good

loving the lowness :-)

As for my remap figures I'm happy with them and it's only an estimate as to the power really need it rr'd but it does me

my old polo 16v was 2 low the bottom arms always hit on speed bumps!

And my ibiza cupra wot i've just sold had to have a new sump cos that was 2 low!

wot coilovers u running mate? Car looking sweet by the way!

It's on TA Technix which have surprised me really. fully stainless steel construction and helper springs on the front so it's not a bad ride quality

I've yet to have it catch any bumps. Biggest ones i've went over are in my mates street where we done it and had no issues so it'll be fine. If I damage it then fine it'd me own fault. But having had all but 2 of my cars lowered I'm fully aware of how to drive them when lowered and all the risks and expenses that come with it

Looks good :)

Are you getting some bigger wheels?

Are you getting some bigger wheels?

I think hes got Jasons (devonutopia) Evolvo Alloys.

I was gonna put bigger wheels on and still may. But I've re sold the evolos before I've even got them lol

When I receive them from Jason they'll lie boxed till 6th January when the new owner collects them. But I've made absolutely no money on them and re sold them for £350. Reason for re selling is my gf is moving house in the new year and was borrowing her deposit from her dad. He's now unable to give her it so I've offered to pay some of it. I am gutted but when i get my money back off her I'm going for 312mm brakes and standard wheels refurbed with spacers and new centres
