Scout 2.0 tdi... cd multiplayer...

Featured Replies

Hi there

Stupidly stowed some gear in and around the CD Multiplayer of my Scout...seemed a good idea at the time!

A couple of my tools have fallen down behind the multiplayer and slipped behind the nice carpet-like bodypanels. Any idea how I remove the multiplayer / panels to get my stuff out? It's the offside rear qtr panel in the boot.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Mike

Can you not get to them by removing the access panel for the rear light cluster?

No. The opening for the light cluster is a good 18" back from where they fell in.

Go onto the Witter Tow Bar web site, and follow the video for fitting a tow-hitch. Part of it involves removing all those pannels to fit the electrics.

Can you borrow a small child?

Went to the Witter towbar site - you don't need to remove any internal body panels to fit a towbar to a Scout!

Tried to borrow a small child and even contemplated stealing one but they don't have arms long enough to reach from the rear light cluster opening.

If anyone actually has some instructions on panel removal for this car I would be very grateful.

Thanks for that. That was exactly what I was after. You're a star.
