Battery

Featured Replies

Had to replace the battery in my Octavia 2.0 tdi sport today. 2006, 40,500 miles. Think this is a bit early. Previous A4 Octavia, 51 plate, 120,000miles still on original battery. Anyone else had problems here. I notice the battery is very small compared to my previous Octavia and my current fabia vRS.

Car is a private hire taxi so has only 1 cold start per day and constant running for the rest. Maybe lucky me just had one with a duff battery.

Have you checked the voltage when running ? if its over 14.8 volts that will have cooked the battery
