Small niggly issues.

Featured Replies

For a while, I've had some niggly issues with my Octavia.

The notorious dry solder joints in the locking modules have been either fixed or replaced.... now my car locks, deadlocks and activates the Drivers door LED on the first press of the remote everytime :D

The other issues I have address with a short Youtube video...

"Donkeying" Noise from the Starter Motor.

No brake warning/Handbrake light in cluster.

Temperature Warning Light/Alarm in Ambient Temperatures under 3c

Other issues not identified by the video;

Burnt fuse in underbonnet fuse box.... Believed to be the A/C/Radiator Fan fuse blew and caused damage to the plastic fusebox and surrounding area.... Fuse replaced... fan now works.... but only the passenger side fan it would appear. The passenger side fan always runs at full speed when the A/C is active. I thought both fans ran at Variable speed... ranging from 1/4, 1/2 - full depending upon engine load, a/c status and temperature??? At least it did on my 406 and my Primera.

Any advice or comments would be great guys...

I like to keep my car in tip top condition...

Oh I seem to have an oil leak too... seems to be getting heavier lately.... Any suspect places... I'm thinking the sump plug... it seems to drip around that area.... and no undertray on my car.
