Help Removing VRS Battery Cover/Shroud Please

Featured Replies

I have a knackered battery and need to replace it but can't see how to remove the battery cover/shroud (Fabia VRS.) I tried to do it but it appears to be fixed in places I can't see properly and I don't want to just rip it off! So if you could advise I would be most grateful.

p.s. I did look through the stickies and tried searching for battery cover & battery shroud but with no success.

It clips into the battery holder base in three places. If you look down at the plastic legs from the battery top cover/shroud, you will see tags at the bottom. Large screwdriver, push the tags IN, pull, and bobs yer uncle.

OK thanks for the info, I guess I will need to push it into some decent light to get a better view, at least I know now, how many clips I have to release.

EDIT: Done it ! What a pain in the ass!. In addition to the 3 tabs you have to unscrew a relay? work out how to release the multitude of wires going into the top of the battery cover (slide it to the side) and then how to untangle the wiring from the cover (flip the lid and slide out to the side)
