Lovely Christmas Gift from some a/hole

Featured Replies

So I woke up this morning and when going out noticed a white mark on the reg plate followed by a bit of missing paint on the reg plate holder, a small bit of missing paint on the bumper itself, some scratching and the chrome grill surround cracked and snapped on the same side.

Blatantly some lovely person went into the car and didn't care, then drove off leaving me to fix up the damage.

Annoyingly the car had been parked on the drive and I cleaned it yesterday so know it had to have happened overnight.

Now the paint on the plastic bumper can be easily fixed, but does anyone have the part number for the chrome grill surround and a ballpark price.

If anyone has a surround they have replaced with a millotec or similar grill, then I'd be open to sensible offers.

Grrr and doom on people, as you can't keep anything nice these days.

Really sorry to hear that mate. Some people.

Part numbers:

1Z0 853 661 molding for radiator grill (CHROME)

1Z0 853 668 grille (BLACK)

3U0 853 621 B skoda emblem

893 967 290 clip

1U0 853 484 hex socket head bolt

I have no idea how much a grill costs. You should search for other posts as I do remeber it being mentioned. If it helps SuperSkoda sell the Facelift grill for €80 complete with badges so it can't be that much for the surround?

Bad luck with the damage

Tough luck there matey, but look on the bright side, you can colour code your grill now!!

Thanks guys,

Going to wait until the winter is over, just incase somebody repeats the trick and then will see about sourcing a surround.

Don't suppose anyone knows if the badge a stick on or screw on item?
